Dreamland in Daejeon

Daejeon Dreamland was an amusement park located in the iconic Expo in Daejeon. It opened on 7 August 1993, the opening day of the Daejeon Expo, and was temporarily closed on 7 November, the closing day of the Expo, and reopened in August 1994 with the opening of Expo Science Park. It is located in the city centre, just a short bus ride away, and has been loved by citizens for 20 years because of its free admission. It was a favourite among film people because of its flat ground and rides. There were performances every hour, so it was a great place to come and just watch when you were bored. At the time of the Daejeon Expo, it was part of the permanent exhibition area, and since it was an amusement facility rather than an exhibition hall, it was charged for admission even during the Expo. With the opening of Expo Science Park in 1994, it was designated as a science park amusement park and has continued its reputation as a comfort facility for Daejeon citizens, but 19 years after its opening, Expo Science Park was finally closed on 31 May 2012 due to financial difficulties and deficit problems.
