“MORE THAN WORDS” a Digital Sculpting for Kinetic Art By Wannaporn Chujitarom Rangsit University, THAILAND wannaporn.c@rsu.ac.th for ISEA 2024 Nowadays, words are an important thing that humans use to communicate with each other in society. In addition, words also express the thoughts and reflect the identity of the person very well. The artist therefore wants to convey the importance of words, not just communication. Rather, it conveys the identity and spirit of the speaker. By using the media of semiotics to convey from words the meaning to the spirit of the meaning. Kinetic art is an art that can be viewed from many perspectives. As well as words, this can be understood from many perspectives as well. Looking at different angles means understanding different angles. It is broadcast through 3 pieces: “MORE THAN BRAVE”, “MORE THAN WISDOM” and “MORE THAN LOVE”. The artist chooses to use digital sculpting media. Because it can be sculpted floatingly and can be controlled visually. With each moment the perspective changes. The artist has directed it in fast and slow rhythms to emphasize the meaning when the semiotic animals are about to appear. And is set to fade into darkness to mean a mysterious fading away, metaphorizing words that once spoken no one knows what truly lies behind them.
