Female Monologues

Karen Song, a China-born and Melbourne-based photographer, has been honing her skill in portrait and fashion photography since 2017. In this series of ‘ Female Monologues’, Song explores the female gaze in her unique intimate and tactility way and presents the spiritual awakening of one’s subjectivity through black and white photography. Her work is inspired by female theory and the psychology of subconsciousness. And aims to evoke female identity people to be empathetic, embracing, belonging, and nonjudgmental to their authentic self.
