A.P.O.I.K.I.A. Moon Camp - Right Dome Interior
The right dome of Moon Camp A.P.O.I.K.I.A. is divided into three zones, each designed to support various aspects of astronaut life and mission objectives. Ground Floor: Fitness and Recreation Area: On the left side, astronauts have access to a fully equipped gym with essential exercise equipment, including treadmills, weightlifting stations, stationary bikes, and climbing walls. These facilities are vital for maintaining physical fitness in the reduced gravity environment of the Moon. Repair and Maintenance Room: Located on the right side, this room is dedicated to the upkeep of equipment and machinery. It contains the necessary tools and spare parts to promptly address technical issues, ensuring smooth operation throughout the mission. Central Corridor with EVA Suits: The middle corridor houses the Extravehicular Activity (EVA) uniforms, essential for any lunar surface operations. Their strategic placement ensures quick and easy access, providing safety and readiness for the crew. Central Elevator Column: A centrally located elevator enables efficient movement between floors, allowing astronauts to transition between zones and enhancing operational efficiency. First Floor: Control and Laboratory Complex: This floor features a control room for mission oversight and a laboratory that enables astronauts to carry out research essential to the mission's success, including testing new materials and analyzing lunar samples. Oxygen Recycling System: The yellow pipes are part of the oxygen recycling system, which maintains a breathable atmosphere by purifying and recirculating air, ensuring a sustainable life-support environment. Sanitation Facility: A restroom (WC) is available for the crew, ensuring easy access and hygiene. Upper Level: Observatory Room: At the top, the observatory offers an unparalleled vantage point for deep space observation. The Moon's lack of atmosphere provides clear celestial observations, making it ideal for astronomical research.
