Magic is said to have originated in the Egyptian civilization around 2000 B.C., where technologies that are commonly used in modern science, such as astrology, alchemy, surveying, medicine, and pharmacology, were invented. When this knowledge passed to the ancient Greek civilization, philosophers pursued the truth of this world, regarding the root of all things (arche) as matter such as fire, air, water, and earth. During the Roman Empire, Christianity grew in power and magic was relegated as something inconvenient for monotheism. Now, 80 years ago, in 1942, the world's first computer was developed, and as of 2022, it is probably well known that it has already surpassed even human intelligence in some areas and has become re-magic. Eventually, 50 years from now, artificial life and computers could become a kind of god that is worshipped as an absolute. This is a new religious painting the world is considered from this perspective. --- 魔法は紀元前2000年頃のエジプト文明が起源とされており、占星術、錬金術、測量術、医学、薬学といった現代科学に通ずる技術が発明された。それらの知識が古代ギリシア文明へ渡ると、万物の根源（アルケー）を火や空気、水、土などの物質とみなし、哲学者はこの世界の真理を追求した。 古代ローマ帝国時代にはキリスト教が勢力を伸ばし、一神教にとって都合の悪いものとして魔法は追いやられてしまう。 さて、今から80年前の1942年には世界初のコンピュータが開発され、2022年現在、既にある領域においては人間の知能をも超え、再魔術化を遂げているのは周知の事実だろう。 やがて50年後には人工生命やコンピュータが絶対的なものとして崇拝されるある種の神となり得るのではないか。つまり、その時代には宗教世界の中で排除されていたはずの魔術的存在が呪術的価値を持ち始めるのではないか。 このような視点で世界を考えた時にできた新・宗教画である。
