In the feudal society of Jiangyong, Hunan province, women's lives are divided into "daughters" and "wives," with "getting married" being the tipping point of the power transition, the transfer of patriarchal power to the husband. On the eve of the wedding, however, women briefly regain narrative power through an all-female gathering. The bride and her sisters sing in women's words. This practice excludes men, turning the space into a female territory, where song becomes their tool against structural disembodiment. In the project, the soundtrack is the women's book songs of the Sitting Song Hall, which convey the fear of marriage, the attachment to sisters, and the subtle rebellion against male dominance-contents that are suppressed in the public sphere but preserved by the women's group. And the fans in their hands are the lyrics of women's writing, a uniquely female writing system that subverts male-dominated culture. As you approach the characters inside you can listen to their stories, which demonstrate the inequality between men and women in feudal society. The bonfire in the middle symbolises the fall of the teenage years. This moment is significant because, despite the inevitability of marriage, these women transcended their "bound" destiny through the collective expression of their voices, temporarily and with complete control of language, space and time, and Project discusses this significant moment for women by reconstructing the scene. The character models in the project were created by reworking third-party assets.
