Fogginess

In this work, I focused on the hallway of the Old Teacher’s College where I took my very first university class. The corridor, lined with familiar classroom doors, connects to the sea and becomes a space where many people's memories and emotions converge. Water is accumulated on the floor of the corridor, and the heaviness of my body being dragged down as I walk slowly on it subtly reveals myself who I was nervous ahead of the first class. This scene, where the building and the sea meet, is also a medium that connects the memories and emotions that remain over time. While 3D scanning the corridor with a mobile phone, I encountered difficulties with resolution and lighting, but I felt that the blurred, incomplete texture fit well with the ambiguity of the memory. The sound was to convey the feeling that this space remained somewhere between reality and memory by adding rain, rolling waves, chatting sound during class, door opening, and bells.
