_NEOSCHEMA Project ver.STYLY

It is a VR game that allows the player to experience the world as a non-human life by acquiring the movements of the player's body and reflecting them in the game. The player rides in a hammock-like chassis and plays the game by undulating his or her body. We were aware of the problem that the current xR is optimized for the human body and cannot fully parallel the human body and the perception of the world by the body, stopping at the imaginary virtual world captured by the existing body. It is possible, or should be possible, for us to always have an unlimited imagination. However, we continue to be tied down. We are bound by what we have seen, what we have thought, what we have wished for, and what it means to be human, to have this body. In response to the current state of xR, this work develops a new reality by editing the image schema. The concept of image schema is a way of expressing the way people perceive their bodies. For example, having two eyes in front of you gives rise to the idea of progress and growth. Since we have ten fingers, decimal numbers are used. We live in an environment with gravity, and because we have a head and a body, a hierarchical relationship is created. With the ideological background of Lemma Studies, which has been running from Kumagusu Minakata to Shinichi Nakazawa, and the new materialism and speculative realism after Deleuze, I intend to make humanity emerge into a virtual world outside of anthropocentrism by experientially accessing the new humanities.
