University is one of the first spaces where I began to meet a wide range of people, and it is also a space in which I spend a significant amount of time. I have found the concept of liminal space particularly compelling, especially in its representation of transition between states or environments. As university itself marks a transition between adolescence and adulthood, I chose the university hallway as the primary setting for this project. While liminal spaces are often characterized by emptiness and absence, I draw on my own experiences within university to challenge this aesthetic. Rather than presenting an empty space, I fill the hallway with personal objects accumulated throughout my journey of meeting different people. These objects can be understood as the “fruits” of the relationships I have built over time. In this work, the objects function as tangible representations of interpersonal encounters, acting as witnesses to my personal growth over the years. Through this accumulation, the space becomes not empty but deeply inhabited—imbued with memory, connection, and the passage of time.
