The inspiration for my project came from my bedroom in my apartment. Being a rather homebody, the bedroom left a deep impression on me.I saw what the previous residents looked like before they moved out in a video the agent showed me. Over the years, I've renovated many areas to make it more suitable for my living, while also retaining some place of the previous residents. This made me feel that I'm not the only author of this space, but merely a chapter in a book that carries the stories and memories of so many people in this city. This mix of old and new made me realize that this space carries multiple emotions and constantly changes with the identities of its inhabitants. It also made me wonder how the new residents will treat the changes I've made when I leave, how they will create their own stories, and how future residents will subtly define this space. As time goes by, the apartment and the people shape each other. How many memories will this apartment itself melt away, and how many stories will it create? In turn, the space itself nurtures a sense of belonging in everyone who lives here. It watches over so many people arriving in the city, finding their feet and growing along the way.how can it not be a vessel where urban memory and individual experience intertwine?
